The leaves are compound, a foot long and 8 to 16 oblong leaflets. The leaflets are 2-7 inches long. The leaves fall from March to April. Subsequently, new leaves and flowers appear. Followed by impulses that are in the tree throughout the year.
Pulp from fruits called “Cessia Pulp” is a well known Laxative. Bark of tree is rich in tannins.
