Ginkgo trees can live up to 1000 years. The trees are found in Korea, China, southern France, eastern and southern United States. The leaves of ginkgo Biloba are used for medical purposed for hundreds of years.

Most commonly, Ginkgo Biloba is used to treat disorientation, depression, memory loss, headaches, tinnitus and vertigo in elderly people. This tree can increase the flow of blood to the brain and this allows the treatment of cerebral insufficiency.

People who suffer from other circulation problems like leg cramps have benefited for the usage of Ginkgo Biloba. The tree’s antioxidant properties may protect the central nervous system from the effects of aging, such as mental disorientation. However, there is not enough evidence about that despite the conducted studies. Ginkgo Biloba can also restrain high blood pressure.

Children are not recommended to use Ginkgo as no scientific researches have been conducted in children using this plant. Adults can take 120 mg per day, divided into 2 or 3 doses. The first results of Ginkgo’s usage will be visible after 4-6 weeks of usage. Significant changes may require up to 6 months of usage.

Acacia, Sweet (Acacia farnesiana): Colombians bathe in the bark decoction as a treatment for typhoid. The gummy roots have been chewed as a treatment for sore throat. A decoction of the gum from the trunk has been used in the treatment of diarrhea. An infusion of the flowers has been used as a stomachic. It is also used in the treatment of dyspepsia and neuroses. The flowers are added to ointment, which is rubbed on the forehead to treat headaches. The powdered dried leaves have been applied externally as a treatment for wounds. The green pods have been decocted and used in the treatment of dysentery and inflammations of the skin and raucous membranes. An infusion of the pod has been used in the treatment of sore throats, diarrhea, leucorrhoea, conjunctivitis, and uterorrhagia.
